Pheona is an advocate and Chartered Mediator with a Bachelors’ Degree in Law, a Diploma in Legal Practice and an MBA in Management. She is a governance expert and leadership coach with over 15 years’ experience currently serving as an Executive Council Member with the Common Wealth Lawyers Association. She also serves as Head Legal for NWSC and Corporation Secretary for the NWSC Insurance Company. She is also a Registered Trustee of Zamara Retirement Fund and has served on and trained many Boards across the country. She is currently the President Uganda Law Society, having served as Secretary then Vice President and the Chairperson of the Legal Aid and Pro Bono Project of the Uganda Law Society. She is a Board Member of the East African Business Council and also serves as a Council Member of the Judiciary Council. She seats on the ICAMEK and CADER Arbitration Center Boards. Pheona was awarded the Hague Institute for Innovations in Law “2018 Talent to Watch” award and is a two time awardee of the New Vision 40 under 40 award for 2018 and 2020. Pheona was also awarded the French German Elysees Peace and Reconciliation Award in 2021 for her efforts towards fighting for the Rule of Law in Uganda. A resource in both private and public enterprises with thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in public relations, energy, oil and gas, company secretarial practice, corporate governance, labour law, contract and commercial transactions, Pheona combines a solid corporate legal background with a well-developed understanding of both commercial and operational drivers of business. She is regularly retained by both local and foreign investors and has played an advisory role to two joint ventures on the Tilenga Project. She is passionate about promoting good governance and change management in public institutions, increasing access to justice for the marginalized especially women and children, and promoting the rule of law. She is an ardent advocate for ethical practice under her mantra, "Faithful Available Teachable”

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Commissioner Rev. Dr. Samuel Kobia, is the Chairman, National Cohesion and Integration Commission. Previously, he served as Senior Advisor on Cohesion, Peace and Conflict Resolution in the Executive Office of the President and Cabinet Affairs. Dr. Kobia served as a Commissioner in the Judicial Service Commission which recruits Kenyan judges, and oversights the Judiciary; </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">2010-2012 Ecumenical Special Envoy for the Sudan’s; </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">2007-2018 </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Chancellor of St. Paul’s University; former General Secretary of the Geneva based World Council of Churches.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">He has vast experience in mediation and dialogue. Currently, he coordinates dialogue platforms as safe spaces for interactions between Kenyans of diverse stations and Government to address pressing issues. The fruits of the dialogues include peaceful co-existence, healing and reconciliation, peaceful resolution of conflicts and national cohesion.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">He holds a Masters degree in Urban Planning, Theology, and International relations from universities in Kenya, USA and Switzerland. He is a visiting Professor to Wesley Colleges in USA and UK. He is an author of several books including </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dialogue Matters.</span></i>
